Ascellus (formerly IMCS Group), the leading behavioral health provider focused on helping injured workers restore their physical and emotional wellbeing, has announced Jim Harvey has joined the company as its new Senior Vice President of National Account Management and Strategy.

“Ascellus is an exciting company at the cutting edge of telehealth and mental health support, and I look forward to helping injured workers return to work safely and effectively with Ascellus’ holistic treatment approach,” said Harvey.

Harvey has more than 20 years’ leadership experience in the health technologies field, fostering outcomes fulfillment across multi-disciplinary teams. With a managed care background built at Sedgwick, Harvey honed his creative and collaborative working style through business advisory roles to become VP Managed Care Client Services, supporting national implementation of integrated healthcare management and provider benchmarking solutions.

“The Ascellus client relationships are multi-faceted and synergistic. We build customized and scalable solutions that serve many audiences: patients, families, providers, employers and a diverse multitude of industries and situations. Jim has that rare talent for developing relationships, deeply listening and then inspiring genius collaborations that create win-win outcomes,” said Lori Daugherty, Ascellus, Chief Executive Officer. “We’re excited to team with Jim on introducing our solution-oriented Ascellus Connect platform to our industry partners.”

Offering expanded access to high-quality, personalized mental health care, Ascellus brings people and technology together in the company’s nationwide network of 1,500 licensed clinicians to deliver customized treatment options, reduce costs for workers’ compensation claims and empower injured workers to return to work sooner.

The Ascellus platform provides treatment plans for pain management, workplace trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), COVID-19, and California Stress Claims. While around two-thirds of treatment goals – set by the employee and therapist and consistent with the claim’s examiner – are reached within seven weeks of therapy, treatment continues for as long as appropriate.
