JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI) were jointly awarded the Adam Heavner Award presented by the Autism Society of America to organizations helping people on the autism spectrum. This award was created to honor those who provide employment opportunities for people with Autism and this year’s award was based on CAI’s Autism2Work program in partnership with JPMorgan Chase.
Autism2Work provides training, coaching, mentoring, and job placement with organizations in areas of software development, testing, security access management, and other core IT functions. The program leverages a standard methodology to help people on the spectrum orient into an organizational culture and to become a valued member of an IT team. JPMorgan Chase has embraced this effort to become one of the nation’s leading employers of those with autism.
