Kickboard today announced that the Kickboard skill for Amazon Alexa will be released to a general audience for the 2019-2020 school year. The Kickboard Alexa skill, rolling out in the coming weeks, will be hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and available to customers via Alexa-enabled devices. The skill allows families real-time access to their child’s behavior in all classes as well as messages from school staff. Once the skill is enabled, families can link their Kickboard account to receive real-time updates on their child’s behaviors, just by asking, “Alexa, are there any updates from school?”

Kickboard is the only evidence-based, real-time behavior platform and is a provider of professional development used by hundreds of schools. With the implementation of the Kickboard Alexa skill, families will have access to their child’s behavior data and messages using any Alexa-enabled device and via the Alexa app.

“At Kickboard, we understand the importance of family engagement and the need to provide real-time access to important behavior information,” said Stefan Kohler, Chief Executive Officer for Kickboard. “Educators need multiple, innovative ways to reach and involve a student’s family members. Our voice-activated Kickboard Alexa skill provides instant information for families about how their child is doing throughout the day, including not only in the classroom, but during lunch or recess.”
