KIOSK Information Systems (KIOSK), and their parent company, Posiflex, are pleased to announce a new modular standard terminal series designed to marry improved lead times and superior reliability with an attractive price point. The new modular platform named The Apex Series is designed for mid-tier kiosk transaction complexity – primarily for self-service ordering and payment in quick-serve and fast casual restaurants. The Apex is a highly configurable kiosk that can be deployed as a countertop, pedestal, or wall-mount. It accommodates a 19” or 22” PCAP LCD, interchangeable for portrait or landscape to simplify user interface (UI) compatibility. This series provides a more compact platform for restaurateurs and retailers who favor a smaller form factor than the 32” Paragon series.

The Apex is also designed to transact self-service retail bill payment, queuing, check-in, and ticketing applications. To efficiently answer pipeline demand, KIOSK is mass-producing metals, stocking components, and pre-configuring integrated solution module options to streamline and cost-reduce key steps in manufacturing and integration. Because the platform ships as pre-configured / boxed modules, lead time and shipping costs are also substantially more competitive than traditional industry offerings.

KIOSK CRO Kim Kenney notes, “KIOSK’s Solutions and Engineering talent have leveraged the purpose-built components from our parent company, Posiflex, including highly reliable PCs, PCAP displays, scanners, and printers. These components are extremely reliable, providing exceptional field uptime and deployment longevity required in POS and kiosk environments. Leveraging this unique supply chain relationship within the Posiflex Group enables KIOSK to combine the highest platform quality while remaining very price-competitive – both central to a strong deployment ROI.”

HP Nüdling, Chief Strategy Officer for The Posiflex Group (KIOSK, Posiflex, and Portwell), adds that “Our ability to pair flexible and efficient hardware solutions with a full complement of IoT-enabled remote monitoring, field, and professional managed services provides a singular industry value proposition. These combined advantages will facilitate growth in high-demand vertical markets within our direct accounts as well as in our global reseller, ISV, and distributor channels.”

The Apex Series will be featured at upcoming tradeshows including:

  • Food Service Technology Show, FSTEC, in Dallas (September 9 – 11th), Booth #244 (Posiflex and KIOSK)
  • Global Gaming Expo, G2E, in Las Vegas (October 14 – 17th), Booth #3026 (Ganlot, KIOSK, and Posiflex)
