LTCG, the leading insurance administration and claims solution provider for long term care (LTC) insurance, has just announced that Sharon Reed has joined the company as its Senior Vice President of Process Improvement and Enterprise Training. In this role, she will be responsible for enhancing the company’s claims operations, and developing enriched training protocols. Reed will also use her extensive LTC insurance industry experience to support the advancement of LTCG’s data analytics and fraud services capabilities.

Reed brings 30 years of LTC insurance operations and claims expertise to this newly created position at LTCG. Most recently, Reed was Senior Vice President at Penn Treaty. During her tenure, she held various leadership positions spanning strategic operations, policyholder and corporate services, claims and care management and customer experience initiatives. She served as the Intercompany Long Term Care Insurance Conference Chair and remains an executive committee member. Reed is also the Claims Advisory Chair for the Long Term Care International Forum and a Society of Actuaries LTC Council representative.

“Sharon is an accomplished industry leader with tremendous knowledge in LTC insurance operations,” said LTCG’s CEO Peter Goldstein. “We’re pleased to have someone with her background and industry standing join our management team as we continue to grow and evolve our claims area, allowing us to remain on the cutting edge as we help insurers manage the growing cost of claims industry-wide.”

In addition to her LTC insurance industry acumen, Reed is a registered nurse. She possesses over 10 years of clinical experience managing the care of senior individuals in acute, LTC facility and community-based care settings.

“I’m excited to leverage my decades of LTC insurance experience, clinical background and knowledge of claims best practices to support the continued growth of LTCG,” said Reed. “Given the difficulties many individuals face in accessing care and support right now, I’m truly passionate about the company’s mission to provide industry leading LTC solutions while helping people through some of the most challenging times of their lives.”
