Lynk, a global leader spearheading the “Knowledge as a Service” (KaaS) sector, announced the appointment of Kimberley Cole as the Global Head of Sales, and Liam Bussell as the Global Head of Marketing. Cole joined Lynk from Thomson Reuters (now Refinitiv), while Bussell joined from Diginex.
Cole has an extensive background in financial services and technology with over 25 years’ experience as a recognized global sales and marketing leader. She held leadership positions for Thomson Reuters across Australia, the U.K., Singapore and Hong Kong. She rose to become one of the company’s most senior female executives and part of its Asia Pacific executive team. In her most recent role as Head of Solution Sales and Business Development for Asia at Thomson Reuters, Cole oversaw a team of over 150 sales specialists for the company’s financial and risk business, worth US$6.5 billion. As an advocate for change, Cole is on the advisory council for women on boards at the Women’s Foundation. She also co-founded and chaired Women in Finance in Asia, a forum for women in financial services with over 1,700 members.
Alongside Cole, Lynk has also appointed Bussell, who has 18 years’ experience leading highly successful marketing campaigns across Asia for disruptive technology companies. His extensive experience spanned across DST (NYSE “DST”), Mintel, World First (acquired by Ant Financial), BC Group, and most recently Diginex, a blockchain securities company where he worked as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Tokenisation, during which time he advised the Armenian Government on its technology policy.
“I am very happy to welcome both Kimberley and Liam to the Lynk team,” said Peggy Choi, Founder and CEO of Lynk, “As Lynk enters a new phase of rapid and sustained growth, we are expanding our management team to accelerate our plans and build a scalable organization for the long run.”
“Lynk is an exciting firm connecting knowledge and expertise enabled by a game changing data-driven technology,” said Kimberley Cole. “It is the world’s first SaaS platform built on an expert network. So many firms remain challenged when looking for growth, efficiency and also driving their innovation agendas; it will be great to share how Lynk can help. With the impressive pool of diverse and global experts, Lynk offers a way for businesses of all sizes to gain new insight and ideas like never before.”
Liam Bussell said. “Knowledge is becoming more specialised, while data has become a firehose pointed at our faces, it is hard to find actionable insights in the sea of available information. Lynk’s aim is to capture data from the world’s experts and structure that data to make it useful and accessible again. I am excited to join Lynk in its aim to bring this vision to life.”
As part of the global expansion, Lynk will announce new initiatives, with the aim of providing greater value to its experts and clients. In the past year, requests for Lynk’s solutions have grown threefold from both new and existing clients, including Fortune 100 companies and top institutions.
