The leadership team at MenuDrive, the award-winning, commission-free marketing and online ordering system built for independent restaurants, is pleased to announce two internal promotions.
Roger Lopez has been named Chief Marketing Officer. Lopez, formerly the VP of Marketing and Product, oversaw a complete modernization of the MenuDrive user interface in 2020. His foresight resulted in significant enhancements to the built-in marketing suite within the MenuDrive product, allowing independent restaurants to streamline their marketing for increased exposure. Each component of the new-feature-rich 2021 roadmap he instituted is focused on driving more profitable orders for MenuDrive restaurant customers. In his role leading both the Marketing and Product teams, he ensured that the restaurants using MenuDrive were gaining increased exposure, for higher order counts and revenue.
“Because our Product and Marketing teams have worked so closely together this past year, we have built a research-backed framework that elucidates what restaurants need when it comes to increasing their restaurant’s exposure and profits,” Lopez said. “It’s an unusual setup — usually you think of Marketing as being more closely intertwined with Sales than Product. But we wanted to take time to examine the marketplace and its projections to assess what will drive the most restaurant growth going forward, while also ensuring that consumers’ shifting expectations (shorter wait times, greater convenience, more contactless options, and so forth) are met.”
Jacquelyn Turcich has been promoted to Senior Director of People and General Manager of the Albuquerque office, in which role she will continue to create and nurture an environment that allows employees to grow within the company and expand their skills. Previously the Director of People, Turcich has been integral to establishing the MenuDrive culture, which is one of collaboration, open communication and dedication to supporting restaurants of all types and sizes through the pandemic and well beyond it. In addition to People, Jacquelyn also oversees the Training and Revenue Operations teams. Prior to joining MenuDrive, Turcich was a paramedic and compliance officer for an ambulance service.
“This past year was profoundly challenging for pretty much everyone in and affiliated with the restaurant industry,” said Turcich. “MenuDrive employees could have reacted to Covid with dejection (a perfectly reasonable reaction), but instead they really came together behind a rallying cry: We’re here to help restaurants survive this pandemic and thrive for many years to come. I’m so proud to be part of a company that stands by its mission to help restaurants do more of what they love, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to realize that mission even further in my new role.”
“Roger and Jackie are paradigms of the MenuDrive spirit,” Khatri said. “When they know there’s a job to be done, they make it happen with diehard tenacity. That could mean anything from a new product feature to a new Slack channel dedicated to praising our colleagues. They lift us up and drive us forward.”
