Nerdio Accelerates International Expansion with Strategic Product Partnership and Dynamic New EMEA CTO Bas van Kaam

Sponsored by Businesswire

Nerdio, the definitive Azure deployment, management, and optimization solution for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Enterprise IT Professionals, today announced its official expansion into the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) market. The expansion is marked by Nerdio’s first-of-its-kind partnership with sepago, a leading IT management consultancy based in Germany, and the introduction of Microsoft MVP Bas van Kaam as Nerdio’s Field CTO, EMEA to support sales and technical ecosystem development in these geographies.

“The timing, the rapid growth of our Enterprise WVD offering, and the global market for virtual desktop infrastructure, all signal that now is the right time to expand our team and geographical presence at Nerdio,” said Vadim Vladimirskiy, Chief Executive Officer at Nerdio. “We pride ourselves on delivering unparalleled customer service and knowledge when it comes to Microsoft Azure and specifically Windows Virtual Desktop, and we are thrilled that Bas, who emulates these same traits and is so deeply ingrained in the WVD ecosystem, will be joining us. Having Bas on board as EMEA Field CTO, coupled with our new integration with the industry-leading sepago Azure Monitor product, puts Nerdio in a strong position to provide the best WVD experience possible to IT teams in EMEA and beyond.”

Nerdio Manager for WVD, an intuitive virtual desktop offering designed for the enterprise, is now the only solution available with native integration to sepago Azure Monitor for WVD, a widely sought-after tool for virtual desktop automation native to Microsoft Azure. This strategic partnership empowers enterprises to not only deploy and manage WVD environments in Azure but to also measure and analyze WVD performance and computing costs – all while streamlining billing through one integrated vendor. The integration solves a common problem for IT professionals who lack visibility into the user experience by collecting real-time data, like how RAM or CPU are being consumed and how many virtual machines (VMs) are set up in the environment, and then displaying visuals of this data within the existing Nerdio system.

“For our first-ever native integration, we chose the best company possible to continue providing our customers with amazing monitoring and analysis support and intuitive solutions. Partnering with Nerdio is the perfect product pairing because deployment and management is the other piece of the puzzle that our customers require for successful WVD environments,” said Paul Luetke-Wissing, CEO of sepago. “Nerdio will play an integral role in supporting our existing customers with a compatible platform and scaling our respective businesses.”

Bas van Kaam is a Microsoft MVP on Enterprise Mobility, an accomplished author of two books on cloud architecture and a frequently published thought leader on desktop virtualization. Nerdio’s extensive knowledge and expertise provide a platform for van Kaam to continue to present valuable thought leadership to the IT professional community.

Van Kaam’s main priority will be to deploy, manage and optimize WVD environments in EMEA through Nerdio’s cutting-edge technology and new, symbiotic partnerships. He joins Nerdio at a time when adoption of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) continues to surge amid the rise of remote workforces and digital transformations resulting from the current global pandemic.

“As a WVD enthusiast from day one, I am thrilled to announce my employment with Nerdio. I have experienced and worked with many companies who struggle to understand and deploy virtual desktop and public cloud environments, so seeing the way Nerdio makes Azure IaaS, DaaS, and WVD deployments ridiculously simple is refreshing,” said Bas van Kaam, Field CTO, EMEA, Nerdio. He added, “Nerdio’s products are intuitive and applicable to companies of all sizes – from small and mid-sized businesses to large enterprises. I look forward to introducing the company and solutions to a whole new market of IT Professionals.”
