New U Venture Partners (NUVP) has announced the launch of its Bridge to Success initiative—a development program for seed-stage and post-seed-stage startups that need the skills, mentorship, and bridge capital required to successfully raise Series A financing. The program, which NUVP plans to conduct annually, includes up to $1 million in bridge capital for startups that are selected to participate and complete the program.

The deadline to apply for the program—which will be virtual in its inaugural year—is October 18. Eligible startups must focus on digital learning and/or future-of-work solutions and fit within one of five investment themes:

  • Access and affordability
  • Post-secondary readiness
  • Learning and experience
  • Workforce transition/upskilling
  • Global distribution and delivery of education

“Many EdTech startups offer innovative solutions that could significantly help learners and others in the education industry but lack the resources to move to the next level with a Series A round,” said Dre Bennin, Managing Partner of NUVP. “Our goal is to improve the lives of millions of individuals through better quality and access to learning, and this program will support that by identifying promising EdTech startups and putting them in a position to scale.”

More information—including eligibility requirements, a program timeline, and online application—is available at www.newuventures.com/bridge-to-success. Leaders from NUVP will host a virtual information session on the Bridge to Success program at the ASU-GSV Summit on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 4 p.m. EDT. Founders and decision makers from EdTech startups who are interested in learning more can register to attend ASU-GSV at no cost, and can find information about NUVP’s information session here.
