OPAQ, the SASE network company, announced today that its Chief Strategy Officer, Ken Ammon will present on an expert panel entitled, “The Emergence of SASE” at the AGC Partners 16th West Coast Information Security & Broader Technology Growth Conference on Feb. 24 in San Francisco.

WHO:

Ken Ammon, Chief Strategy Officer for OPAQ, is a recognized expert in managed security, network security and government security. He served as Chief Strategy Officer at Xceedium, a privileged access management company until its acquisition by CA Technologies, and founded managed security service provider (MSSP) pioneer NetSec which was acquired by MCI/Verizon Business. Ken has testified on security vulnerabilities affecting federal government IT infrastructure and data, and served as adjunct faculty at the National Cryptologic School, where he received the Scientific Achievement Award. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force, where he was a captain assigned to the U.S. National Security Agency.

Moderator: Eric Hanselman, Chief Analyst, 451 Research

Other panelists:

Vaughn Eisler, Director, Business Development, Security, Equinix

Amit Bareket, CEO, Perimeter81

Sami Ahvenniemi, president and CEO, Americas, SSH Communications Security

WHAT:

The disintegration of perimeter security has left a void that demands network access controls beyond traditional firewall and VPN architectures. To take their place, a new model that looks to more broadly address access needs in a hybrid, multi-cloud and widely distributed world has emerged and is being characterized as the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). It’s an approach that promises to help organizations deal with the security complexities of digital transformation. The ability to integrate greater context for building identity and trust, provide granular isolation across hybrid infrastructures and make the whole thing manageable make the prospects for SASE a very attractive proposition. Ken Ammon and this panel of experts will discuss SASE implementation questions and explore its potential to meet the new security requirements of the borderless enterprise.
