Pavilion Data Systems, the leader in NVMe-Over-Fabrics, today announced that Mike Canavan has joined the company as its chief revenue officer. Canavan is an industry veteran with more than 18 years of sales leadership experience within the data management market. He will be responsible for all aspects of revenue generation with intense commitment to customer satisfaction.
Canavan joins Pavilion from Pure Storage, where he was the global VP of sales for Flashblade. Prior to Pure, he was at Hitachi Vantara; his tenure there spanned more than 11 years. During this time, among other roles, Canavan was the vice president of sales for the Emerging Solutions Business. His areas of responsibility included development of the go-to-market strategy, organizational integration and revenue growth of newly acquired technologies. Before Hitachi Vantara, he held sales and leadership positions at EMC and Boston Scientific.
