Today, Pike Corporation announced that it has increased its turnkey construction services with the creation of its Pike Telecom Division. This new division combines the telecommunications engineering group, formerly UC Synergetic, and a newly formed fiber and telecom construction group that provides full turnkey design and build capability. This move signifies an important milestone for Pike Telecom’s fiber and wireless customers, who now have access to the same end-to-end solutions approach that Pike has offered to the electric and gas sectors for 75 years.
Brian Leary, Vice President of Pike Telecom, commented on how this move helps to advance the goals of Pike’s customers. “Together with our clients, Pike Telecom has been ramping up for the deployment of 5G and other broadband initiatives. By self-performing all aspects of permitting, engineering and construction, we not only move faster and better, but our wide-ranging expertise helps guide our clients who are going through this rapid change.”
With more than three decades of experience, Pike Telecom is no stranger when it comes to adapting to new technologies and working in partnership with clients. The division has a national service footprint, with regional operations facilities spread throughout the country.
“We made this investment in Pike Telecom because we believe we bring a breadth of critical skills and experience the sector needs during its rapid expansion,” said Eric Pike, CEO of Pike Corporation. “We’ve served iconic clients such as AT&T and Verizon since 1986, but as demand for network reliability and bandwidth grows, we are installing and maintaining an increasingly important driver of our nation’s economic productivity and security. The lockstep coordination between design, construction and management, and our expertise in technology, becomes critical.”
