Planet Direct, a full-service direct mail production facility, has moved into their new 115,000 square-foot corporate headquarters in Innovation Park at 11050 Challenger Court. The company’s expansion will retain 130 jobs, create 100 new jobs, and represents the company’s corporate goal to become one of the largest direct mail manufacturers in the mid-Atlantic region.

“We are most excited about the efficiency, safety and expansion capacity that will come with our new building.” says Ryan Gutman, president of Planet Direct. “Innovation Park offered us a strategic location to meet the specific needs of a manufacturing business, and the county was able to meet our critical timelines. Our new address is easily accessible and is among prominent corporate neighbors in an ideal setting.”

Planet Direct has operated in Prince William County since 2008, and after more than a year of COVID-19 construction challenges, Gutman was excited to open the doors over the weekend and offer his employees an upgraded corporate facility to better provide the superior service their customers have come to expect.

“Developing and maintaining a positive work culture is a top priority; we strive to provide an enjoyable, safe, diversified, and inclusive work environment,” says Gutman. “Most of our staff live in Prince William County, and it was important for us to stay here with an objective of retaining our staff after the move.”

“By expanding their business here in Prince William County, Planet Direct is offering our residents good jobs and providing a direct impact to our local economy, with an estimated $15 million in capital investment,” says Christina Winn, executive director, Prince William County Department of Economic Development. “We know how much Planet Direct invests in their employees, and we are excited to host a ribbon-cutting event early next month to celebrate the leadership, staff, and their new home in Innovation Park.”

“I am so excited to participate in the upcoming ribbon-cutting and explore the new headquarters with the staff and leadership at Planet Direct,” says Ann B. Wheeler, Chair, Prince William Board of County Supervisors. “This new headquarters facility speaks directly to our 2021-2024 Strategic Plan that encourages a resilient economy focused on creating and maintaining jobs, expanding the commercial tax base, and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.”

“Planet Direct delivered on their commitment to not only remain here in Prince William County, but also to bring new jobs, providing local work opportunities for Brentsville District and county residents,” says Jeanine M. Lawson, Brentsville District Supervisor. “Innovation Park continues to offer Prince William County companies an environment that promotes growth.”
