Reemo Health, simplifying how consumers and healthcare connect remotely, is now an approved Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) Provider for Health & Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver Programs in the State of Minnesota. Minnesota is the first state in the company’s rollout strategy for creating widespread availability to HCBS-eligible seniors.

“The availability of Reemo’s PERS smartwatch through HCBS Waiver Programs expands the positive impact the company can provide to consumers as they manage health risks, COVID-vulnerability and disruption of traditional care pathways,” said Andy Gonerka, Chief Growth Officer of Reemo Health. “As a company, we will continue to find more ways to give Americans access to this life saving device and clientele a technology platform that delivers critical health insights so more efficient and effective care and support can be realized.”

Reimagining the traditional PERS device, Reemo’s non-stigmatizing PERS smartwatch is easy to use and stylish. The LTE-connected smartwatch works wherever the consumer goes and provides additional benefits that other PERS devices lack including live call-for-help, 1:1 concierge support, step and heart rate tracking and GPS location. More so, Reemo helps the user connect with their personal care circle via shareable insights for friends, family and caregivers.

In addition to the provider approval news, Reemo is pleased to announce that preeminent technologist and health care executive Bud Flagstad will join its Board of Directors. Both announcements by the company demonstrate true leadership and advocacy in the industry and fulfill its mission of helping at-risk people and the young-at-heart remain independent and stay in their homes.

Mr. Flagstad brings expertise in driving consumer and provider engagement to increase access to high-quality care, enhancing efficiency and efficacy, and empowering people to improve their health and wellness to the Reemo Health Board of Directors. He has held executive leadership roles across the health insurance, private equity, medical startup and financial services industries during his prominent career.

“Bud Flagstad has a long and distinguished history of being on the forefront of nurturing new technology and approaches to disrupt the health care status quo,” said John Valiton, Chief Executive Officer of Reemo Health. “Even more importantly, Mr. Flagstad’s experience engaging all stakeholders involved in the health and care of an individual will provide Reemo with invaluable guidance as we advance how our Healthy Aging Platform can help improve well-being, lower health risks and reduce avoidable and costly healthcare claims.”

“It’s an honor to help the company advance aging-in-place and remote care initiatives,” Mr. Flagstad notes. “Reemo Health is uniquely positioned to help Americans from all walks of life in their daily lives along with the payers and providers that offer vital care.”
