Remote Report today announced the launch of an online platform that delivers news and insights on the business of remote work.

“Two years before the coronavirus pandemic, I began analyzing what the corporate world would look like when operating a lean business model where more and more people work remotely,” said Bob Richards, founder and publisher of Remote Report. “There were success stories but no dedicated resources to guide leaders through this shift.”

Richards set out to fill the void, building a media company in the process.

“Remote work demands the same thoughtful, high-quality journalistic coverage as any other global industry or market segment,” said Richards, who spent decades working in the U.S. and internationally for large enterprises and early-stage startups.

Remote Report covers remote work as an unfolding business story, whether it is exploring the changing skyline as companies abandon offices in favor of flex work or reporting on tech players battling over how workers communicate. The site is dedicated to delivering news, insights and lessons learned by business leaders transitioning their operations to a remote environment.

“Our experienced editorial team is focused on providing timely coverage and deep-dive reporting on the companies, leaders, funders, workers and laws transforming the globe through remote work,” said Stephen Taylor, executive editor of Remote Report.

Taylor brings decades of experience to Remote Report, serving in a variety of editorial roles for Bloomberg News, The Wall Street Journal and the International Herald Tribune. Remote Report’s writers are veteran journalists from across the U.S. and Europe who have reported for The New York Times, Dow Jones, Forbes, Bloomberg, Time and other publications.

Remote Report is membership-based and offers individual and corporate accounts for access to its coverage. For a limited time, readers can try out the site for free.

Additional membership perks will be unveiled in the coming months, according to Richards.

“In addition to our insightful articles, we aim to add a speaker series, forums, webinars and podcasts – all centered on helping businesses navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the remote-work revolution,” he said.
