Dr. Kahane, a former senior executive at athenahealth, has over three decades of healthcare technology experience helping to drive client value, innovation, and growth.
Dr. Kahane most recently served as the President of Client Organization at athenahealth from 2011 to 2019, where he helped design, lead and manage athenahealth’s move into the enterprise healthcare services space establishing meaningful partnerships with health systems, hospitals, integrated delivery networks and other large healthcare services organizations. Prior to athenahealth, he served as CEO of several public and private healthcare technology companies, including Amicas, VitalWorks and DataMedic. Dr. Kahane has also served on the boards of companies such as Kyruus, RedBrick Health, and Homecare Homebase, and has advised investment firms such as SV Health, Bessemer Venture Partners and New Mountain Capital. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University and completed his clinical training in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, where he also served as Medical Director and System Development Director of Information Systems.
