SentryOne, a leading provider of data DevOps and database performance monitoring capabilities for the Microsoft Data Platform, announced today it has achieved Advanced Tier status in the Amazon Web Partner Services Network (APN) as well as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Workloads Competency status.

To achieve Advanced Tier status in the APN, a partner must meet rigorous requirements and demonstrate that it provides expert management of AWS Cloud solutions for customers. Only Advanced Tier partners are eligible to apply into the AWS Competency Program.

Achieving the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency differentiates SentryOne as an APN member that provides specialized demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success with specific focus on workloads based on pre-migration assessment, migration, post-migration optimization of workloads, and technologies for managing and leveraging data on AWS with advanced analytics and Machine Learning. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess deep AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.

SentryOne provides end-to-end migration and optimization solutions for businesses shifting SQL Server workloads to Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) or Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS) for SQL Server. As an Advanced Technology APN Partner with AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency, SentryOne can provide expert guidance for migrating SQL Server workloads to EC2 or RDS. SentryOne solutions not only pave the way for a smoother migration, but also ensure that AWS Cloud-based workloads are optimized for peak performance.

“Organizations are constantly evaluating the best location for their database workloads in terms of price and performance,” said Nick Harshbarger, SVP of Strategic Alliances and Channels. “Because of our collaboration with the AWS engineering team, we can give companies the same top-rated monitoring experience whether our customers and MSPs are managing databases on-premises or on AWS.”

“SentryOne solutions give us the ability to establish optimal database performance baselines on-premises, lift the workload to AWS, then quickly get that database running at peak performance in the cloud,” said Ben DeBow, president and founder of Fortified Data, a managed services provider (MSP) and longtime SentryOne partner. “SentryOne gives us the flexibility we need to optimize performance of databases in hybrid environments.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

SentryOne is an industry leader in performance metrics collected for SQL Server workloads hosted on Amazon, giving data teams unprecedented capabilities for proactively managing performance.
