“I’m thrilled to join a team that has such a laser focus on empowering photographers to build successful, sustainable businesses,” said Parks. “I look forward to guiding the product and engineering teams at this key moment when ShootProof is investing in innovation that leverages consumer engagement with professional photographers.”
In addition to his core skills in Product Development, Parks also has a strong background in security and compliance and understands how to implement pragmatic and effective controls without burdening the organization in excessive red tape.
“We’re excited to welcome John to the ShootProof family,” said Steve Marshall, Chief Executive Officer. “’I’ve been fortunate to know John for over two decades and have witnessed his tremendous ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement that delivers clear value to customers.”
Most recently Parks was the CIO at Ansira, responsible for Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems and Security. Prior to that, he helped grow INVISION from 5 employees to over 120 with its technology managing $10 billion in sales and billing for the largest media companies before it was sold to Mediaocean in 2016. Parks began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), cutting his teeth as a software developer and data architect. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
