“We’re super excited to partner with Educreations so we can offer more value to our customers,” says Colin Bramm, Co-Founder and CEO of Showbie. “Educreations is a fantastic, easy-to-use whiteboard-recording app loved by millions of students and teachers around the globe, and we are thrilled we can offer it to our Pro Plus customers. Not only can teachers record lessons, but students can also capture their ideas using Educreations. Students and teachers can share their recordings with the entire class for discussion or one-on-one through Showbie. Video lessons created in Educreations can be played on any device and teachers are able to see when students have watched a lesson. It’s an extremely powerful platform and we believe it will be a very popular addition to Pro Plus this school year as schools are managing hybrid and remote learning modes.”

The partnership will allow new customers of Showbie’s Pro Plus package, available to schools and districts, to receive promotional licenses to Educreations for their teachers for the current school year. Showbie also announced recently that Pro Plus customers would receive promotional licenses to Explain Everything, a collaborative whiteboarding platform. Showbie believes these products, when paired with Showbie and Socrative, provide teachers and students with an end-to-end hybrid and remote learning solution.

“For too long, schools and districts have struggled to equip their teachers with all of the digital tools they need, and those individual applications have rarely worked well together,” says Wade Roberts, Co-founder and CEO of Educreations. “Now, through Showbie Pro Plus, schools can provide teachers with an affordable suite of best-in-class tools for facilitating remote and hybrid learning. The coronavirus pandemic has accelerated our progress toward a future in which learning activities will be increasingly student-directed, always available, and facilitated through intuitive, well-designed apps like Educreations and Showbie. We’re incredibly excited about what will become possible by combining Showbie’s leading platform for managing classroom workflows with our own top-rated app for sharing ideas as whiteboard-style videos, in addition to several other great tools. It’s a powerful combination for schools and a huge win for students and teachers everywhere.”

How it works:

  • With Educreations, teachers and students can share ideas as whiteboard-style video lessons, tutorials, and presentations using an intuitive app for the iPad.
  • The videos can be shared inside Showbie as replayable lessons or as demonstrations of student comprehension.
  • Students can refer to these videos as needed while studying independently, and parents can gain valuable insights into classroom learning activities.
