Snow Software, a global leader in technology intelligence, today announced that its Snow Optimizer rel. 3 for SAP® Software has achieved re-certification as an SAP-certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform. This proven integration demonstrates Snow’s dedication to and deep expertise in SAP solutions, helping to enable organizations to better manage and optimize their investment.

A native asset management solution for SAP technologies, Snow Optimizer provides businesses with actionable insights into their SAP ecosystem. It can determine user activity, consolidate complex entitlement information into one unified view and appropriately manage accounts while addressing anomalies to increase overall value, drive return on investment and avoid surprise costs or audits.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that Snow Optimizer rel. 3 for SAP® Software integrates with SAP NetWeaver. Technology or infrastructure products that have SAP-certified integration with SAP NetWeaver have proven to interoperate with the technology platform.

This certification comes after a year of continued innovation and investment in Snow Optimizer. Notable 2020 milestones included:

  • Introduction of the Supermaster feature: Developed primarily for large enterprises with multiple subsidiaries, brands or entities, the Supermaster feature allows a parent company to make strategic decisions by providing organization-wide visibility of usage and license information for SAP solutions, while allowing the subsidiaries to maintain independent control.
  • Re-certification from The ITAM Review: As independent experts and analysts on IT asset management (ITAM) and software asset management (SAM), the team at The ITAM Review has developed a set of standards to assess industry technology and verify it meets certain requirements and use cases. In June 2020, Snow Optimizer was re-certified for SAP License Management by The ITAM Review.
  • 360° Evaluation of SAP Solutions with SoftwareONE: Snow and SoftwareONE teamed up to provide a new solution for organizations looking to address licensing challenges for SAP technologies, increase visibility across the SAP ecosystem, minimize audit risk and gather insights for SAP S/4HANA® negotiations or migrations.

“Organizations around the globe rely on SAP solutions as a part of their critical infrastructure,” said Sanjay Castelino, Chief Product Officer at Snow. “Gaining and maintaining visibility across complex technology systems is both essential and increasingly challenging. With Snow Optimizer’s SAP-certified integration with SAP NetWeaver, organizations gain the intelligence required to ensure their SAP environment is optimized and driving value for their business. This is the heart of our vision to provide true technology intelligence.”
