Sparkrock today announced it has been named a finalist in the 2019
Microsoft Partner for Social Impact Award. The company was honored among
a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in
innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft
technology.

Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a
set of more than 2,900 entrants from 115 countries worldwide. Sparkrock
was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in
‘Partner for Social Impact’.
The award was based on the work Sparkrock has done with COSTI Immigrant
Services, an organization which helps more than 39,000 people in 60
languages from 18 locations across Canada. COSTI was instrumental in
helping Saudi Arabian teen Rahaf Mohammed escape her abusive situation
and come to Canada, and in helping settle thousands of new Canadians
from Syria, fleeing the devastating war in their home country.
Sparkrock’s solution enables COSTI to save considerable time in payroll,
vacation calculations, and budget process. Since implementing Sparkrock,
COSTI is able to track metrics such as time to find housing and average
refugee education level, which they are sharing to help inform public
policy.
