The State of Vermont has been named a national award finalist for its ability to connect citizens with available online government services and resources.
The Center for Digital Government has recognized the State of Vermont and its newly-redesigned Vermont.gov website as a finalist for the 2019 Government Experience Awards in the overall experience category. The annual Government Experience Awards highlight state governments providing exceptional progress and delivery of digital government services. Finalists represent the top 10 entries from a nationwide set of candidates.
The Center for Digital Government is the leading national research and advisory institute focusing on technology in state and local government.
This award marks the fifth national award for the State of Vermont in 2019. Earlier this year, the new Vermont.gov also received a gold dotCOMM Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). AMCP also awarded gold Hermes Creative Awards for the newly redesigned websites of the Agency of Natural Resources, Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, and the Department of Fish & Wildlife.
The State of Vermont redesigned the new websites in partnership with Vermont Information Consortium, LLC, a digital government services partner that provides a portfolio of online services for the citizens and businesses of Vermont.
