In an open letter on social media, Pasykov encourages everyone who identifies as “straight” to join forces with LGBTQ+ people and fight for equal rights around the globe. He asks everyone ready to speak out about allyship to use the hashtag #AllySpeaksOut and tag @taimiapp in social media.

Pasykov, who built a career for himself in information technology, saw a huge need for a space for LGBTQ+ people to feel safe, to be able to express their thoughts without judgment or fear, to communicate with one another in a way where their conversations could lead to something more than just a hookup. This is how Taimi was born.

“I want to see a world where people are just people, their gender, sexuality, race, religion – doesn’t matter. Sounds utopian? Perhaps, but it is a society that we should all strive towards,” shares Pasykov.

Recently, Taimi launched a series of live streams – TAIMI Talks focusing on LGBTQ+ issues. Pasykov says it’s crucial to keep human rights at the forefront. Especially now it’s important to raise awareness and do all we can to move the change forward.

“Unfortunately, in more than 70 countries in the world, that is impossible to this day. Not to mention the many societal prejudices LGBTQ+ people face in countries where they have legal protections. Say, the Netherlands, which was the first country to legalize same-sex unions, a country where freedom should reign supreme, but shockingly far-right views are on the rise and LGBTQ+ people are facing discrimination on a societal level now more than ever,” adds Alex Pasykov.

This is why Taimi’s mission is to combat homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia around the world. The company is actively pursuing partnerships with human rights organizations and seeks new connections with activists around the globe that are making a difference.

Pasykov says “straight” people can make a significant difference in the fight for equality. By speaking out, raising awareness, and bringing up injustices, they can leave their mark and help make the lives of a lot of people better. All they have to do is come out as an ally, be open about their support and join the cause by using the hashtag #AllySpeaksOut on social media.
