Today, Tenera Care, an emerging seniors care data analytics company, announced they are one of a select few companies accepted into the prestigious Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Recovery program. CDL Recovery is a rapid response innovation program focused on accelerating the world’s recovery from the COVID-19 crisis through novel, information-based technology solutions.

“CDL’s mission is to accelerate the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind. Right now, that means redeploying our resources to focus on the current crisis by applying the CDL model and community to rapidly translate science into solutions,” notes CDL founder Ajay Agrawal in the CDL Recovery program announcement.

Tenera’s product, Teneraware™, is a data analytics solution that uses wearable technology to monitor behaviours and interactions that impact the health and safety of senior care residents, staff and visitors. Designed to help care providers improve efficiencies and quality of care, Tenera’s precise location data is uniquely suited to provide accurate and reliable contact tracing, social distancing and quarantine management in care facilities experiencing an outbreak of COVID-19.

“It is an honor and privilege to have been identified and selected for the CDL Recovery Program,” says Tenera Founder and CEO Stew Hardie. “Our company’s passion and purpose is to keep safe the most vulnerable segments of society. This program is providing us with access to the people and opportunities needed to accelerate our ability to protect the seniors care population during these incredibly difficult times. We are grateful for the opportunity to do our part to help care facilities become safer, healthier and happier places for people to live, work and age.”

About Tenera Care

Tenera exists to help people live safer, healthier, happier lives. Teneraware™ is a precise, easy to install indoor positioning system platform that uses wearable technology to automate the collection, monitoring and reporting of resident, staff and visitor locations to produce a real-time view of their movements and interactions within the facility, 24/7. Tenera allows care providers to spend less time collecting and monitoring behavioural data and more time using it to improve health and safety outcomes and deliver more responsive, informed care.
