Trustwave today announced it has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Security Services 2020 Vendor Assessment¹. The report assessed 17 vendors who provide global capabilities, and while there are many service providers providing managed security services globally, specific services and criteria must be met to have qualified for this vendor assessment.

“An organization’s ability to quickly pinpoint and eradicate cybersecurity threats anywhere inside their environment including native cloud has become a focal point for driving successful operations,” said Arthur Wong, chief executive officer at Trustwave. “We believe this recognition demonstrates our ability to deliver on a global scale, superior services centered on threat detection and response, security testing and risk management that gives enterprises and government agencies the capabilities and expertise needed to stop sophisticated adversaries.”

Trustwave highlights from the report include the following:

Strong threat response capabilities — According to the report, Trustwave has the breadth of experience to deliver strong threat response capabilities co-developed with each customer to include cloud environments, endpoints and log and data sources. Trustwave Managed Threat Detection and Response discovers and eliminates threats as they occur on premises and across multi-cloud environments. Continuous monitoring, threat hunts and forensic investigations are led by Trustwave SpiderLabs, the company’s elite team of security specialists.

Wide range of offerings The report recognizes the breadth of Trustwave managed security services offerings and continued innovation in its user portal and Trustwave Fusion platform, the company’s cloud-based cybersecurity platform. Trustwave offers a deep portfolio of managed security services ranging from 24/7 threat monitoring and detection to technology management, security testing and proactive threat hunting. Using the Trustwave Fusion platform, Enterprises take action against threats, manage vulnerabilities, order on-demand security tests, generate detailed reports and scale services as needed from a single dashboard viewed on computer, tablet or mobile phone.

Customer feedback on delivery and satisfaction — The report notes that based on customer feedback, “Trustwave was good at delivering a valuable service and is flexible in accommodating subtle changes without excessive costs being piled on at every exception.” Trustwave delivers services and threat intelligence through its global network of security operation centers and the Trustwave SpiderLabs Fusion Center, an advanced cybersecurity command center. As new threats are detected and vulnerabilities discovered, Trustwave works closely with customer security teams throughout remediation.

“With cyberattacks increasing and continued shortages of available cybersecurity talent with advanced skillsets and field experience, organizations must be proactive about exploring models like managed security services to strengthen their defenses,” stated Martha Vazquez, senior research analyst for IDC’s Infrastructure Services research. “Handling cybersecurity solely in-house is challenging to fund and maintain for most enterprises, so they are turning to services providers to augment efforts. The participating companies in this study have been selected because they are strong providers and have unique attributes that address critical security challenges organizations are facing as the threat landscape continues to shift.”
