Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced that it has been named to the Detroit Free Press “2019 Top Workplaces” list in Michigan for the third consecutive year. Tyler ranked in the midsize company category, which includes companies that have between 150-499 employees.

“Our employees are the reason for this prestigious recognition by the Detroit Free Press,” said Bryan Proctor, president of Tyler’s Public Safety Division. “We have an innovative, hardworking team in Troy and strive to provide a productive and enjoyable atmosphere. We are honored to be recognized as a top workplace for a third year.”

The Detroit Free Press partnered with Energage, an employee research and culture technology firm, to administer an employee engagement survey related to workplace culture. Michigan businesses or nonprofits with at least 50 employees were eligible to nominate a workplace for consideration. This year, 242 companies were surveyed. The rankings are based on employee survey feedback, which is analyzed based on Energage’s objective criteria.

More than 430 employees work in Tyler’s Troy office, home to its Public Safety Division, which develops software solutions for police, fire, and EMS agencies. The Troy location is also home to the company’s New World ERP staff, who provide integrated public administration solutions. Tyler has more than 5,000 employees and approximately 30 offices across the U.S. and Canada.
