(Nasdaq:UPWK), has been named a finalist for the Entrepreneur
Of The Year®2019 Award in the Northern California region.
Widely considered one of the most prestigious business awards programs
in the U.S., the EY program recognizes entrepreneurs and leaders of
high-growth companies who excel in areas such as innovation, financial
performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities,
while also transforming our world. Kasriel was selected as a finalist by
a panel of independent judges.

Kasriel took the helm of Upwork
shortly after the company was formed by the merger of two private
companies (oDesk and Elance) and grew the combined organization, the
largest freelancing website, into what is now a thriving public company.
Kasriel is also recognized for his participation in conversations about
the future of work. He is dedicated to creating solutions that provide a
better world for future generations. Part of his decision to take the
helm at Upwork was due to his fundamental belief in the company’s
mission, which is to open economic opportunities so that people can lead
better lives. To further this mission, he launched the Upwork Foundation
to serve those at risk of being left behind by the Fourth Industrial
Revolution. Additionally, Kasriel joined the World Economic Forum and
