Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”), a leading global investment firm focused on enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses, today announced that Thomas E. Hogan has joined the Firm as an Operating Managing Director in Vista’s Flagship Fund.
Hogan’s career spans nearly four decades at some of the most successful enterprises in the technology field, including IBM where he began his career, and HP where he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing following four years as Executive Vice President of Software. Starting in 2014, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kony for nearly six years until the company was acquired by Temenos, a Swiss banking software provider. Hogan also served as President and CEO of Vignette, a publicly traded software company specializing in enterprise content management, for four years and completed a two-year stint at Siebel Systems as the Senior Vice President of Sales where he helped guide a quadrupling of revenues and bookings.

Hogan will work with the Flagship Fund which invests in middle-market and large cap enterprise software, data and technology-enabled companies. In his role as Operating Managing Director, he will partner with Vista’s portfolio of companies to build enduring market value through operational excellence, product superiority and sustainable growth strategies. Hogan is also currently on the Board of Citrix Systems, a publicly held leader in networking and “work from anywhere” software and solutions.
