Although it’s early in the calendar year, Wisconsin Virtual Academy (WIVA), an online public charter school authorized by the McFarland School District, is now accepting enrollments for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.

Delivered entirely online, WIVA offers students and families a high-quality education option, while accessing a robust online curriculum and attending live virtual classes taught by Wisconsin-licensed teachers.

Students receive the support and resources needed to pursue and reach their academic goals. And WIVA provides an approach to learning that helps prepare students for post-graduation college or career success.

“For our students, it’s all about the personalized learning environment and whatever it is that works best for them,” says Fadia Afaneh, Head of School at WIVA. “We are all about their academic success and our staff is committed to providing them with a superior education experience that meets their diverse needs.”

All WIVA students are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, and history. Electives include world languages, art and history in middle and high school, as well as high school honors and AP® courses. WIVA also offers student clubs, field trips, social outings, and other activities to foster a sense of school community, including an in-person graduation ceremony in the spring.

WIVA is available tuition-free to students in kindergarten through 12th grade who reside anywhere in the state of Wisconsin. Families are encouraged to attend an online or in-person information session hosted by the school.
