Egnyte Allows 848 To Share Its File Storage And Collaboration Platform

A partnership has been formed between cloud IT provider 848 and Egnyte’s file sharing service. This increases Egnyte’s reach in the European business market.

The partnership allows 848 to offer its customers a file sharing capability that can address all its customers’ requirements whether it be cloud-only file access, on-premises storage, or a combination of both systems.

Cloud or on-site

Stafford-based 848 has branched out from its original provision of support and services for Google Apps to encompass partnerships with Microsoft, HP and Salesforce. The company expanded its range to ensure it could cover the needs of its growing customer base, some of which already had an existing cloud strategy that would need to be “folded into” a product set that had already been adopted and to meet existing budget cycles.

“As a leading UK provider of IT services and support, Egnyte’s enterprise file sharing solution enables us to provide our clients with a complete end-to-end collaboration solution,” said Kerry Burn (pictured), director of 848. “This partnership enhances our portfolio by providing the top-notch, flexible and secure cloud file management services our customers require.”

Egnyte’s partner programme offers 848 the flexibility needed to sell file sharing and collaboration capabilities with a recurring monthly revenue that contains a high margin. Additionally, the hybrid capability can allow managed services providers benefit from on-premises storage sales and to add third-party software integration, such as connection to Google Drive and DocuSign.

Mort Jensen, director of channels for Egnyte, added, “We’re thrilled to have a partner like 848 in the UK. Its in-depth local market expertise helps Egnyte to deliver enterprise-focused file sharing to UK businesses. And, because our solution addresses cloud-only as well as on-premise access needs, businesses can leverage their existing investments in on-premises storage.”

Egnyte has claimed that its customers store, share, access and backup over a billion files worldwide. Systems managers can administer and control the sharing policies centrally according to each company’s needs.
