Cloudian builds EMEA channel with senior appointments

Cloudian, a US provider of hybrid cloud data storage solutions, is expanding it EMEA channel. For the region, Cloudian has appointed Jacco van Achterberg as sales director and Neil Stobart as technical director.

Van Achterberg will lead Cloudian’s sales effort for HyperStore hybrid cloud storage software and appliances in EMEA and will be based in Amsterdam. Before joining Cloudian, van Achterberg served as EMEA sales director at Nexenta, where he built and managed the company’s European sales organisation.

Prior to this, he held sales and operations management positions building successful multi-national go-to-market channels for technology companies, including Tiscali and Brain Force.

Neil Stobart will align business and technology requirements across Cloudian’s European customer and channel base. Stobart, who is based in the UK, has 20 years of experience in developing enterprise storage solutions.

Before joining Cloudian, Stobart was EMEA sales engineering director at Nexenta, where he was responsible for managing a team of storage technologists across the region. Stobart has also served as sales engineering director at both Dell and Compellent.
