Wolters Kluwer, Health, a leading global provider of trusted clinical technology and evidence-based solutions, today announced that its decision support solution, UpToDate®, was ranked number one for clinical decision support (point-of-care clinical reference) in the 2020 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report. KLAS, a research firm that specializes in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare vendors, found that UpToDate was the top performing point of care clinical reference tool for the second straight year.

KLAS interviews thousands of healthcare professionals and uses the responses to rate point-of-care and clinical reference tools. Evaluation questions cover several areas, including Culture, Loyalty, Operations, Product, Relationship, and Value.

“KLAS’s recognition of UpToDate as a Category Leader again this year is gratifying for us as an organization,” said Denise Basow, MD, CEO, Clinical Effectiveness at Wolters Kluwer, Health. “We are committed to partnering with our customers and helping them to reduce variability in care by using the best available evidence to treat patients. Our expert solutions help align decision making across care teams and patients, enabling more consistent and cost-effective care.”

Adam Gale, President, KLAS Research, adds, “Providers and payers demand better performance, usability, and interoperability from their vendor partners every year. Best in KLAS winners set the standard of excellence in their market segment. Earning a Best in KLAS award should both excite and humble the recipients. It serves as a signal to providers that they should expect only the best from the winning vendors.”
