AISAP, a medical technology company developing AI-powered Point-of-Care Assisted Diagnosis (POCAD™) solutions to transform medical ultrasound, has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025. This year’s list shines a spotlight on businesses that are shaping industry and culture through their innovations to set new standards and achieve remarkable milestones in all sectors of the economy.
“AISAP’s mission is to democratize medical diagnostics and advance health equity through AI. We are committed to ensuring no patient with serious health conditions is left behind. Being named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list is an honor that validates the impact of AISAP POCAD and our broader vision for accessible, AI-driven healthcare,” said Adiel Am-Shalom, AISAP CEO & co-founder. “AISAP CARDIO was developed to close critical gaps in patient care, enabling a wide variety of qualified physicians to quickly and accurately diagnose structural heart disease and heart failure with expert-level precision in patients anywhere. As Fast Company has recognized, CARDIO could help change cardiovascular diagnostics at the point-of-care, which could be life-saving to patients and game-changing for the healthcare system.”
AISAP supports clinicians using point-of-care ultrasound with a comprehensive solution that streamlines the ultrasound workflow at the bedside, leading to exceptional clinical outcomes and enhanced healthcare efficiency. Its flagship product, CARDIO, is a comprehensive, cardiac ultrasound software platform that allows clinicians to quickly and accurately diagnose common cardiac issues at the bedside using portable ultrasound. CARDIO is the first solution in the world to secure FDA clearance in the CADx pathway for the comprehensive diagnosis of structural heart diseases using POCUS. It empowers clinicians with basic scanning skills to accurately diagnose up to 90 percent of the most common cardiac structural and functional parameters right at the bedside within minutes. This could help bring important cardiovascular diagnostics to underserved communities, leading to earlier detection and treatment, better patient outcomes, and greater efficiencies and cost savings to health systems, while ultimately saving countless lives.
“AISAP’s innovative cardiac diagnostics technology has the ability to help diagnose structural heart disease earlier and more equitably, helping direct patients into care sooner, which could potentially greatly improve patient outcomes and create operational and financial efficiencies for healthcare providers,” said Qiong (Joan) Zhao MD, medical director of Echocardiography Quality Eastern Region, and director of Research, Echocardiography, Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, Inova Health System.
In 2024, AISAP received FDA clearance for 12 AI modules, including four CADx diagnostic modules and eight automated measurements derived from bedside ultrasound scans. AISAP has partnered with leading healthcare systems – including Mass General Brigham, Mayo Clinic, Jefferson Health, and Inova Health – to validate the accuracy and effectiveness of its algorithms. Its FDA pivotal study demonstrated 93 percent accuracy in detecting major valve diseases, with measurements as precise as those performed by expert cardiologists. To date, AISAP has conducted over 10,000 patient scans at leading hospitals in the U.S. and Israel, with 30 percent of scanned patients experiencing changes in clinical management, leading to earlier discharge and optimized treatment plans.
CARDIO combines computer-assisted diagnosis modules and key measurements into a single solution, providing diagnostic assessment and measurements of several key cardiac structural and functional parameters. These include the presence of valvular pathology, left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF), right and left ventricular dimensions, right ventricular fractional area change (RV FAC), atrial areas, ascending aorta diameter, and inferior vena cava (IVC) diameter.
