DSFederal, an award-winning woman-owned business that develops advanced health IT solutions for federal agencies, announced today that it has expanded its long history of work supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through a new contract to provide a wide range of scientific and program support services, including highly qualified technical and scientific analytics experts, to the Office of Extramural Research (OER).

Through the new contract, DSFederal provides a broad range of scientific and program support services to the OER, including professional, scientific, analytical, consultative and subject matter expertise in areas such as executive administration, financial analysis and reporting, program operations, scientific data analysis, scientific information analysis, and scientific text analysis. These capabilities are augmented by subcontracting partners ICF Incorporated, Master Key Consulting, and NETE Solutions, all of which bring unique, OER-specific insight to this team effort.

“Our team is passionate about being stewards of NIH research funding,” said Sophia Parker, founder and CEO of DSFederal. “At the intersection of science and technology, the team at DSFederal is committed to ensuring the highest quality of services to help government better serve its citizens through advancements in research processes, funding efficiencies and project management. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to continue serving NIH and our nation.”

As a trusted partner of OER since 2014, when DSFederal began its support of the Research, Condition and Disease Categorization (RCDC) program, the company has had a strong record of success delivering outstanding results for its customers across the NIH. DSFederal’s RCDC team members have received the RCDC Office of the Director award, recognizing their contributions to the program.

OER oversees NIH research administration to ensure scientific integrity, public accountability and effective stewardship of the NIH extramural research portfolio. The organization oversees activities related to high-profile digital platforms, grant compliance, peer review, extramural community communications, scientific misconduct, and human subjects’ protection. OER also serves the 24 NIH institutes and centers that provide extramural grant funding.
