D.A. Davidson & Co. announced today that the firm has strengthened its institutional research team and technology coverage with the addition of senior research analyst, Robert Simmons, CFA. He will expand the firm’s coverage of software companies.

Simmons joins D.A. Davidson with 15 years of equity research experience most recently serving as assistant vice president at RBC Capital Markets where he covered enterprise application software. He previously held roles with Janney Capital Markets and Mizuho Securities. He earned a master’s degree in finance from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brandeis University.
Simmons becomes part of an award-winning institutional research team of 19 research analysts that provide coverage of approximately 340 publicly traded companies across four core industry verticals. With the recently announced acquisition of Marlin & Associates, D.A. Davidson will have approximately 60 professionals across its equity capital markets group solely focused on technology.
