RocketRez, an emerging leader in cloud-based management software for large tours and attractions, announced today it has raised $5 million USD from Blueprint Equity and an additional $2 million CAD in revenue-based financing from TIMIA Capital. In conjunction with this total Series A investment of $8.4 million CAD, Blueprint Equity managing partners Bobby Ocampo and Sheldon Lewis will join RocketRez’s Board of Directors.

Despite the headwinds created by COVID-19, RocketRez has grown rapidly, more than doubling annual recurring revenue growth year-over-year.

“What immediately impressed us was RocketRez’s customer satisfaction,” said Bobby Ocampo, Managing Partner of Blueprint Equity. “Every customer raved about RocketRez’s product and customer service. It’s not often we see that, especially in a less than ideal environment for the tourism and attractions industry, and it shows in the company’s immense growth, this year in particular.”

RocketRez has quickly expanded its product suite since its founding in 2012 and revamp in 2014. Online, in-person, and call center booking engines are integrated into one full point of sale and inventory management platform for an efficient, streamlined process. The company has also created application tools for seamless back-end operations, including managing events, private charters, catering, photos and kiosks, CRM, growth marketing, advanced analytics, staff scheduling and timekeeping. RocketRez’s cloud-based platform allows tours and attractions to maximize their customer experience, such as allowing businesses to easily manage customer flow in accordance with COVID guidelines.

“RocketRez combines many applications into a single, easy-to-use, cloud-based platform. Our product allows customers to select modules depending on their business needs,” said John Pendergrast, Founder & CEO of RocketRez. “Partnering with Blueprint was a natural fit for us given our growth and stage and we’re thrilled to continue on our mission with the support and backing of such a reputable investment firm.”

This new round of funding will enable the expansion of new business verticals at the rapidly expanding company that has hired industry veteran Monica Marics as its Chief Operating Officer to help manage this growth. Marics has guided operations, customer success, and product management teams of several multi-hundred-million-dollar businesses across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. RocketRez is actively hiring across sales and marketing, engineering, and customer success departments.

“The tours and attractions space is an enormous market that has been traditionally underserved with archaic systems that require a lot of time and manual work,” said Sheldon Lewis, Managing Partner of Blueprint Equity. “We are confident that RocketRez will continue to excel as its tools allow operators to prioritize the customer experience.”
