Smartiply, a pioneer in Fog and Edge Computing technologies, today announced the worldwide general availability of its DataNinja App for Android devices on Google Play. The App creates ad-hoc Fog Networks between smartphones to enable sharing and collaboration.

DataNinja combines idle bandwidth resources from trusted nearby mobile devices to provide reliable, boosted, and secure Internet connectivity. The intuitive user interface allows sharing of bandwidth with friends, family members, and others within proximity for a superior Internet experience. Users can also share their Wi-Fi connection with others without giving away their password. Self-healing connections ensure seamless performance even when a connection drops. All data is encrypted and routed through a secure virtual private network (VPN). Data metering feature provides usage tracking and helps set limits on sharing. Details about the features and a product video can be found at smartiply.com/DataNinja.

“The massive adoption of smartphones and video streaming creates additional strain on network and cloud resources, severely impacting customer experience and primary business function,” said Smartiply Co-founder and CEO, Kaushik Pillalamarri. Smartiply addresses these real problems through a technology that enables sharing of idle or underutilized resources and performing functions even when there is no connectivity.
