The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today announced the 2021 officers for its board of directors.
“TIA is proud to have an active board of directors that recognizes the strategic importance of building trust in a world that is increasingly connected,” said David Stehlin, CEO of TIA. On behalf of the TIA staff and members, I want to thank the 2020 board, officers and executive committee, and especially Deepti Arora our outgoing Chairwoman, for their guidance and support, as we advance factors critical to our industry. I also want to congratulate our new 2021 officers, Doug Moore, Trevor Smith and Kanchana Raman; their expertise and leadership will be instrumental to our continued growth and success in the coming years.”
Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. President and CEO, Doug Moore, was elected to serve as TIA Chairman.

This is an exciting and critical time with global emphasis on expanding and securing 5G infrastructure,” said Moore. “I look forward to working with TIA’s staff and members to enable a more connected future.”
Also elected to serve as board officers are CommScope’s Vice President of Global Strategy and Business Development, Trevor Smith, as Vice Chair; and Avion Networks CEO, Kanchana Raman, as Treasurer.
Nokia Chief Quality Officer and 2020 TIA Board Chairwoman, Deepti Arora, said, “It was a pleasure to serve as TIA’s Board Chair in 2020 as we advanced critical initiatives for the industry despite the widespread impact from the global pandemic. As Chair Emeritus, I will continue to champion the priorities of TIA and its members and wish the incoming board officers a successful 2021.”
