Focused on accelerating digital transformation, TMA will highlight its
range of products that are optimizing HPE solutions. These products
include new classes of SAS SSDs that replace SATA SSDs in most server
applications and software that make flash storage accessible via
NVMe-oF™ (NVM Express™ over Fabrics) networks. In addition,
Toshiba Memory will conduct two breakout sessions focused on its new
value SAS and low-power NVMe™ SSD solutions, titled, “Life after SATA –
Moving from SATA SSDs to SAS/NVMe in the Data Center.”

Toshiba Memory has been collaborating with HPE to create best-in-class
storage solutions for years. Toshiba Memory products can be found in
numerous HPE solutions across multiple product lines, including data
center and enterprise servers/storage.

Demonstrations will be given in TMA’s booth #214 on the show floor at
the Sands Expo Convention Center from June 18-20 and include:

  • Welcome to Life After SATA: TMA will highlight its RM5
    Value SAS SSD
running live in an HP ProLiant DL385 Server. In this
demo, TMA will demonstrate the RM5’s significant price/performance
value in a real-world workload, showing a clear path away from SATA.
  • KumoScale™ NVMe-oF Shared Accelerated Storage Software: KumoScale
enables the use of NVMe-oF to make flash storage accessible and shared
over a data center network. It accomplishes this by providing a simple
and flexible abstraction of physical NVMe disks into a pool of block
storage, all while preserving the high performance of direct-attached
NVMe SSDs. Toshiba Memory recently enhanced
    KumoScale’s capabilities
: the version 3.9 production release
includes general availability support for TCP-based networks.
  • Enterprise and Data Center SSDs: Toshiba Memory’s PM5,
    CD5,
    and CM5
    SSDs will be on display.

“We look forward to HPE Discover each year, as it showcases the
synergies that exist when companies collaborate to leverage their
respective technologies,” noted Alvaro Toledo, senior vice president of
SSD marketing and product planning, Toshiba Memory America, Inc.
“Together, HPE and TMA provide our customers with the reliable,
flexible, low-power, cost-effective storage solutions they need to
evolve their data centers and support more digitally focused strategies.”
