The company is making available the imageRUNNER C1225iF, imageRUNNER C1325iF and imageRUNNER C1335iF machines this March.

Francis Thornhill, European and UK product marketing manager at Canon Europe, said: “Demand for affordable colour A4 MFDs continues to grow and with the addition of these new compact models, Canon offers enhanced growth and profit opportunities for our partners with one of the most extensive print portfolios on the market.”

The new devices offer cost effective colour printing thanks to print engine technology inherited from the successful imageRUNNER ADVANCE C250/ 350 series. This is the first time Canon has used separate toner and drum technology on the colour imageRUNNER range to reduce waste and achieve greater efficiencies in printing and support partner profitability.

The imageRUNNER C1300 series is designed for busy small workgroups and offices with print volumes of 1,000 to 6,000 pages per month and supports “click” service contracts, offering a “significantly lower running cost” and total cost of ownership than its predecessor, the imageRUNNER C1028 series, maintains Canon.

In addition to lower running costs, the new imageRUNNER C1300 series features new technologies that allow partners to benefit from lower service costs and higher margins. With a quick set-up guide built into the device and an image reader for scanning coming as standard, installation of the new models can be completed “in just a few minutes”, the company said. Users can also replace drums easily, which can save on partners’ time and associated costs.

The imageRUNNER C1300 devices also support an enhanced range of service management tools, which now includes remote batch configuration and firmware updating capabilities for the first time on the imageRUNNER range. In addition, a new remote user interface service reduces time at the device for technicians. “These enhancements support remote service capabilities and allow partners to easily manage and service the entire fleet remotely, making the new devices highly suitable for fleet deployments,” Canon said.

Native support for industry standards such as PCL and Genuine Adobe PostScript helps partners integrate the devices into customer IT environments more easily. The new printers are also the first imageRUNNER devices to support the Mopria mobile printing standard.

The imageRUNNER C1225iF and C1325iF deliver speeds of up to 25ppm while the imageRUNNER C1335iF produces prints at up to 35ppm.
