Cyber security attacks rank as the fastest growing crime in the US causing business disruptions due to compromised security. Cybercrime damages will reach multiple trillions of dollars by end of 2021. Some of these cyber attacks were on servers, apps/data and network that had compromised security frameworks.

ARBA’s application and data framework is robust enough to withstand security breaches as evidenced by focus of the recent cyberattacks on non-product- based security frameworks. ARBA’s data and application frameworks are based on product-based .NET and SQL database frameworks. So, over the past 12 months ARBA’s focus was primarily on security of data transferred between servers over the internet.

ARBA Technology has now rolled out implementation of Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption on all its servers to ensure encryption of data sent over the internet. This will prevent eavesdroppers and hackers to see what is being transmitted, especially information which our customers consider private and sensitive.

Data integrity, privacy and authentication are key bedrocks of security and TLS addresses all three. It provides end to end communications security via a cryptographic protocol which is widely used for online transaction. It is IETF standard intended to prevent eavesdropping, message forgery and tampering.

ARBA is now replacing its SSL protocol with TLS since it is an improved version of SSL and will help make internet connections secure and faster. ARBA is now implementing TLS 1.3 which is much safer, secure, and fast, due to elimination of unnecessary handshake steps and the focused use of newer encryption methods.

ARBA will be scheduling implementation of TLS 1.3 with our customers starting mid-February, 2021.
